Activities

We encourage our residents to continue their existing hobbies.

One of the great things about St Peter’s is the fact we encourage our residents to continue their existing hobbies if they’re able to. That’s why we ask for lifestyle histories and interests – so we can facilitate any existing pastimes residents already have.

That could mean knitting scarfs for grandchildren, or photographing the wildlife in our garden. It could mean constructing model trains in the conservatory or just a game of chess against another resident.

We ensure your loved ones can do what makes them happy.

Activities on offer

We do all we can to accommodate existing hobbies, but residents can also get involved with:

  • Christmas, Easter & seasonal festivities
  • Musical entertainment
  • Visiting entertainers
  • Reminiscence discussions
  • Pet visits
  • Sing-a-longs
  • Arts & crafts
  • Visiting hairdressers
  • Visiting chiropodist
  • Optician visits
  • Religious services & monthly church services

Of course, the best form of entertainment is a visit from a family member. We encourage regular visits from family and do our best to accommodate you. Whilst we try to keep visiting hours between 10am and 7pm we know that’s not possible for everyone, so can make alternative arrangements if this doesn’t suit your schedule.
